How to opening a bank account in Kuwait

It is compulsory for a person to have a residence visa in Kuwait, to open a bank account. You must take the ‘No Objection Certificate ‘from your employer to the bank stating your salary .The employers’ letter will specify your salary, to show that funds will be paid to the bank. Few banks will also ask for your tenancy certificate to verify you residence and will also ask for a copy of the passport. The person’s dependent can also start an account in bank given the person will be his or her sponsor.

Banking hours will vary across the country .Most of the banks work from 8 am to 1 pm from Saturdays to Wednesday’s .On Thursday’s banks will work from 8 am to noon. Most of the banks will reopen by 4:30 and close by 6: 30.
