KUWAITCITY/DUBAI(IAMINKUWAIT) : Yesterday, the United Arab Emirates lifted a ban on all imports from Kuwait of live domestic and wild birds that it had imposed after a bird flu scare in February.According to a notice from the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MoCCAE), it is now possible to import domestic and wild live birds, ornamental birds, chicks, hatching and table eggs, poultry meat and their thermally untreated products from Kuwait to the UAE.The ban was implemented following a notification of the outbreak of a highly contagious bird flu strain (H5N8) in Kuwait from the Emergency Center for Transboundary Animal Diseases.
