Kuwaiti Cabinet approves plan against human trafficking

Kuwait City(IAMINKUWAIT), Feb 6thIn the cabinet weekly meeting, the Kuwaiti cabinet has given green signal to implement laws against human trafficking and immigrant smuggling.

Presided over by His Highness the Prime Minster Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah , the cabinet made sure that the action will be a fruition . After round of talks from Deputy Prime Minster and Interior Minister Sheikh Khaled  Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah and Minister of Finance Dr Nayef Al-Hajraf , the cabinet had agreed  to  compensate affected military personnel , under the condition that  payments will only be given to those entitled to them.

The cabinet has decided to amend real estate registration law, in addition to a law that seeks to prevent conflict of interest.

The Kuwait and Turkish agreement over double taxation on capital gains will be amended by a protocol, as well as a similar deal with Bangladeshi Government to prevent income tax. An MoU was given approval during the cabinet, between Kuwait and Turkey to boost cooperation in the arms industry and an aviation deal with Kyrgyzstan, where they await the final approval from his highness Amir.

During the discussion of the global happenings, the ministers expressed their condolences on the train crash that happened in US in the State of Carolina.

In the onset of the meeting, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah congratulated Minister of Social Affairs and minister of State for Economic Affairs Hind Al-Sabeeh on the recent parliamentary decision to renew confidence in her .

The ministers hailed the degree of freedom and democracy they enjoy in the state of Kuwait, Praisinng the efforts by Prince Amir.

Later, Deputy Prime Minster and  Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad AL-Sabah briefed on the visit by the Yemen Foreign Minister Abdul Malik Al-Mekhlafi to Kuwait.

  During the visit , both Yemeni and Kuwait sides discussed bilateral relations between each sides. They discussed over the issue of Yemeni crisis  and to alleviate the sufferings of the Yemeni people.

Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled apprised the cabinet of the outcomes of his participation in the recent ministerial meeting of the Arab Peace Initiative Committee and the emergency meeting of Arab Foreign Minister recently held in Cairo , focusing on the latest situation of Jerusalem.
